One entry per contestant. Entrants that enter the contest with more than one Twitter account will be disqualified. The winning Twitter account will be investigated for its validity. International entrants are accepted. The rules of this contest adhere to Canadian Law in the province of British Columbia. Local legislation may disqualify an entrant. Contestants are responsible for knowing and adhering to local law.
Winning
The winner of the contest will be determined via random draw after the deadline. The selected winner must have access to a valid email address (for prize distribution) and an active Twitter account (for notification). In addition, the winner must answer a skill-testing question (via email) to claim their prize. The winner will be announced on Twitter and on this webpage. The winning entrant will receive notification via Twitter from the account @ScottHamerton (make sure that you are able to receive private messages from @ScottHamerton). If the winner cannot be contacted privately, an attempt will be made publicly. If no response is received within one week, a new winner will be drawn. In the event that the winner is disqualified, a new winner will be drawn at random.
The odds of winning are directly affected by the number of participants, being approximately 1 in X, where X is the number of retweets before the deadline.
Prize
The prize value of this contest is approximately $50(USD), in the form of a digital gift card through Amazon.com. The winner may choose to receive their gift card through an alternative Amazon marketplace (if available). In such an event, the prize value will be converted to the appropriate currency using current exchange rates (some rounding will be applied).
